Versions History

This article explains how to use the Version History feature in the Widget Customization Editor. Version History allows tracking and managing all saved versions of a widget’s configuration. This guide covers how to access, review, and restore previous versions.

Accessing Version History

The Version History feature is located in the Toolbar under the Menu section. To access it:

  1. Navigate to the Toolbar at the top of the editor.
  2. Open the Menu and select Pages.
  3. Choose Version History from the dropdown.

This opens a modal displaying all saved versions of the widget.

Understanding the Version History Modal

The Version History modal displays a table with the following columns:

  • Version Number: The unique identifier for each saved version.
  • Date of Saving: The timestamp when the version was saved.
  • Notes: Optional notes or comments added during saving to describe the changes.
  • Action Buttons: Options to interact with each version, including the ability to restore it.

Restoring a Version

To restore a previous version:

  1. Open the Version History modal as described above.
  2. Locate the desired version in the table.
  3. Click the Restore button next to the version.

Important Notes:

  • Restoring a version overwrites the current widget configuration with the selected version’s settings.
  • After restoring, the changes must be saved and published to apply them.
  • Use caution when restoring versions, as this action cannot be undone.
